Review: To start off with, I received this from Negalley in exchange for an honest review. Anyway, I honestly can't decide whether I fully enjoyed this book or not. The writing style was nice and so was the plot, but certain parts of it just seemed so unnecessary, I won't say any as I don't want to give any spoilers, but those moments for me just seemed to bring it down slightly. The plot had so much potential and the characters were actually written in quite well and Nikolai, Jenny and Ben were just done so well. The plot though was really unique, it's quite interesting that it was done about Romanov Russia and not something everyone probably knows more about, like Nazi Germany. A lot of research must have gone into it which I do fully admire. I'm just so stuck with what to say, I feel as if I've written everything that is needed to be said already but the review needs to be longer, a few sentences isn't going to cut it which is basically why I'm rambling and repeating myself. I apologise if it's annoying you. What more is there to possibly say? Well, maybe I can comment on the cover. The cover is quite nice, it does seem to give it a bit of a fantasy or contemporary (which the book sort of is..) look though, but is nice either way.
