Publication Date: June 14th 2012

Synopsis: "One thing my mother never knew, and would disapprove of most of all, was that I watched the Garretts. All the time." The Garretts are everything the Reeds are not. Loud, numerous, messy, affectionate. And every day from her balcony perch, seventeen-year-old Samantha Reed wishes she was one of them...until one summer evening Jase Garrett climbs her trellis and changes everything. As the two fall fiercely in love and stumble through the awkwardness and awesomeness of first romance, Jase's family makes Samantha one of their own-even as she keeps him a secret from her disapproving mother and critical best friend. Then the unthinkable happens, and the bottom drops out of Samatha's world. She's suddenly faced with an impossible decision. Which perfect family will save her? Or is it time she saved herself? A debut novel about family, friendship, first romance, and how to be true to the one person you love without betraying another.

Review:
This is a beautiful book, and it's perfect to read in the summer. The way Huntley Fitzpatrick wrote this book is amazing. The characters are so well written, and the plot of the book is amazing. I honestly think this is one of my all time favourite books, and I would definitely recommend this to anyone. It's basically a YA romance novel, but it's not just any average romance book, it's about more than just love, it's about friendship and family, which makes it even better. I love how even though Samatha and Jase are both 17, there isn't really any teenage drama from them, and they are very mature, it makes the book better. The characters were all written in well and were nicely introduced, and we find out information about those characters throughout the book, which is always nice. And the relationship between Jase and Samatha developed, and there is a positive message for girls. This isn't your average boy meets girl, they fall in love and stuff happens book. You'll need to read it to find out though, because explaining it would give most of the book away.
