Synopsis: "Tessa has just a few months to live. Fighting back against hospital visits, endless tests, drugs with excruciating side-effects, Tessa compiles a list. It's her To Do Before I Die List. And number one is sex. Released from the constraints of 'normal life', Tessa tastes new experiences to make her feel alive while her failing body struggles to keep up. Tessa's feelings, her relationships with her father and brother, her estranged mother, her best friend, her new boyfriend, are all painfully crystallized in the precious weeks before Tessa's time finally runs out. BEFORE I DIE is a brilliantly-crafted novel, heartbreaking yet astonishingly life-affirming. It will take you to the very edge."

Review:
This story is so beautiful. The ending just makes you so sad. You go on a journey with Tessa through her illness, up until the very end. She tries to live an exciting life, despite her illness, which is cancer. She tries to work through the cancer, and seems like she tries to forget it's even there. The way her family react to things and look after her is amazing. Her friends, family, and new boyfriend are always by her side. There are ups and downs but they always stick together. Jenny Downham has written this book so well, and in some places I felt like laughing because Tessa was being so silly, and cry because of Tessa having something very unfortunate going on in her life. I love Jenny Downham's writing style, and I would love for her to write more books. I'd recommend this to people around my age.
